Divine Rejection
No one likes rejection… 1 Samuel 15, tells a tragic tale of how King Saul lost God’s favor. It was a time of war. He defeated the Amalekites, but did not fully follow Hashem’s instructions that he was given. He was told not to take any plunder and to spare no one. Saul acted in a way he thought was reasonable and best, yet by doing so, he rebelled against the orders from Hashem that Samuel passed on to him. That day, he lost divine favor and was rejected as a king.
