Spiritual Awareness

In Joshua, we learn why a Canaanite prostitute saved the lives of Israelite spies. She saw something many Israelites did not see about themselves. In Joshua 2:9, she said, Ki natan ADONAI lekhem et ha-arretz “Hashem gave you the land.” Apparently, through whatever means of information they used, she heard about the Sea of Reeds and the victories God gave to the Israelites. And she perceived that God was behind it, and Jericho was doomed. She believed. What’s even more remarkable is that Joshua records her beautiful expression of faith in the God of Israel.
