Many students of the Bible and ancient history have heard about Herod the Great. Yet most visitors to the Holy Land never get to see these amazing historical ruins connected to the famous king. There is just so much to see in Jerusalem's vicinity, and Herodion is just a little off-sight (between Jerusalem and Bethlehem). Most tours do not include this stop. Plus, it takes a while to take in this enormous place. This video is a beautiful walk-through of the ruins and allows you to take in its sights in high-definition video. It's almost like being there.
My research is focused on the interpretations of biblical texts in the contexts of ancient culture, languages, and history.
