Psalm 121 (Hebrew - English)

Psalm 121 speaks of God's protection of those who trust in Hashem. God's ever-present hand, a shadow besides traveler.

שִׁיר לַמַּעֲלוֹת אֶשָּׂא עֵינַי אֶל־הֶהָרִים מֵאַיִן יָבֹא עֶזְרִי׃
עֶזְרִי מֵעִם יהוה עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ׃
אַל־יִתֵּן לַמּוֹט רַגְלֶךָ אַל־יָנוּם שֹׁמְרֶךָ׃
הִנֵּה לֹא־יָנוּם וְלֹא יִישָׁן שׁוֹמֵר יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
יהוה שֹׁמְרֶךָ יהוה צִלְּךָ עַל־יַד יְמִינֶךָ׃
יוֹמָם הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ לֹא־יַכֶּכָּה וְיָרֵחַ בַּלָּיְלָה׃
יהוה יִשְׁמָרְךָ מִכָּל־רָע יִשְׁמֹר אֶת־נַפְשֶׁךָ׃
יהוה יִשְׁמָר־צֵאתְךָ וּבוֹאֶךָ מֵעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָם׃

A song of ascents… To the hills I will look up.
From where will my help come?
My help comes from ADONAI (LORD)
Who created heaven and earth.
May he not let your foot to stumble,
The one who watches over you will not sleep.
Behold the one who watches over Israel
Will not slumber nor sleep.
ADONAI (LORD) is your defense
A shadow on your right side
The sun will not strike you at daytime
Or the moon harm you by night.
ADONAI (LORD) will protect you from any harm.
He will preserve your life.
ADONAI (LORD) will watch over you as you come and go
Form this moment and forever.
