God is the Stronghold of my Life

I find the words of Psalm 27 comforting, and they always lift my spirit. God is my stronghold in so many ways. I pray that these words and music will lift your spirit as they do mine, and the deep awareness that God is our stronghold will never leave us. May your experience joy that only comes from Hashem.

God is the stronghold of my life.
Whom should I fear by day?
יהוה מָעוֹז־חַיַּי מִמִּי אֶפְחָד יהוה
ADONAI is my salvation light.
Whom should I fear by night?
יהוה אוֹרִי וְיִשְׁעִי מִמִּי אִירָא יהוה

My daily request to the Lord God above, to stand in His house, surrounded by love.
His sure defense I seek day after day. Eyes on His beauty, right where I stay. Guarding my soul, He shields me from harm, the moments I feel I am held in his arms. Why look elsewhere when He’s my delight? In His blessings I walk, in brilliant light.

With joy in my heart, I sing all my days, in God’s holy tent, I offer my praise...

If troubles arise, the Lord is my shield, God is my salvation, and I will not yield
He is my fortress, defending from strife, guarding my spirit, protecting my life.
No fear, no dread, in front of my foes, I rise and stand tall, so everyone knows.
My salvation, I trust, head lifted high, I stand on the rock, arms open wide.

With joy in my heart, where I truly belong, in God’s holy place, I offer my song...

Now enemies come to threaten my day, grant me endurance, so I will not stray.
Let Your light shine, my path will clear, gaze through the shadow, and You are near. Darkness may loom, and winds may rise, but You, Lord, come and clear the skies. Why seek more? You're all that I need. In the eye of the storm, it's you that I see.
